Industry: Education

With a BA in Marketing Communications, Annelie’s background includes more than a decade working as a copywriter and account manager in the marketing and advertising arena. She is also a SETA accredited E-Marketing Professional and is passionate about the principles of content marketing and the thorough execution of digital strategy.
She has written a wide variety of content for various platforms and industries (including websites, social media, blogs, newsletters, and advertising campaigns), and enjoys empowering clients through ongoing collaboration and service solutions.
At home, she is surrounded by five males (one dad, three copy and paste versions of him, and Japie, the farm cat ), she enjoys spending her free time with friends, reading books and girly novels, and learning about the health benefits of pure grade essential oils (you know: to balance out all the testosterone).
Anneke studied Visual Communication Design at Stellenbosch University. After a short reprieve teaching English in Korea, she worked mostly in publishing for Media24 and Struik Christian Media. Design to her is a puzzle and she loves seeing the pieces come together! Since the birth of her eldest, she has been a stay-at-home-by-day-freelance-at-night mom (of two in counting).
She buys books for their covers, has tasted all the chocolate brands in Turkey, is a master Puerto Rico player, and has all her movie tickets from 1998 (before they started printing them in ink that fades).
Grethe studied BComm Law and completed her Honours in Strategic Management and Innovation at Stellenbosch University. She started her career in strategy and sustainability communication and has since ventured through curriculum research, lecturing, and entrepreneurship education. She is passionate about potential, people and telling inspiring stories. Through all her endeavors word-crafting has been an ongoing pursuit – writing for various print and online publications, as well as assisting small businesses with copywriting, branding, and content creation.
She is a wife and mom with a firm belief in the positive power of a steaming Dirty Chai, podcasts, and avo toast.
Petro’s love for words led her to study BA Humanities with languages at Stellenbosch University. After completing her MA in Psychology at North-West University, she switched from academic to copywriting and editing as a freelancer. She has worked for many clients in various industries ever since. She works part-time for Pathfind Media and tutors Psychology at UNISA while looking after her three daughters. She also happens to be married to the CEO of Pathfind Media.
She sees traveling, hiking, reading, and fiction writing as fun. And she loves hanging out with people – in real life or those she meets on pages of books or movie screens.
Joel is a creator at heart – he is most satisfied when his ideas become tangible and help people in the real world. His journey with frontend website design extends all the way back to his high school years. He started out with a small side project developing and managing a now well-established online news and media platform for cyclists, attracting readers globally.
Ever since, he has immersed himself in the study of industrial and product design, specifically the understanding of user-centric design to apply expert design tactics. He prides himself in creating websites that inspire and engage with people on high levels of visual communication.
When he is not in his office chair, Joel can be spotted pushing the limits on his bicycle or adventuring in some of the local mountain reserves. And yes, he is best operated caffeinated.
Jayme-Leigh Kotze is the administrator and personal assistant to the CEO at Pathfind Media. She makes sure this ship is set on course.
Jayme-Leigh has a wellspring of experience in the field of administration. She previously worked in the tourism industry where she organised dream holidays for multi-generational families. Jayme occasionally travelled with certified kosher teams to assist with her kosher families, thereby gaining valuable people and organisational skills. Apart from finishing several finance short courses, she also has Level 1 First Aid training. As a true Pathfinder, she is constantly learning and growing.
In her free time, Jayme volunteers as a teacher at her local church and works as a tutor to young children. Two of her favourite hobbies are cooking and baking for others and travelling.
Melindie is an experienced graphic, web- and e-learning designer who loves helping people plan, optimise, and launch new websites. She holds a degree in Clothing Marketing through the University of Pretoria and a Diploma in Computer Graphics & Animation and Internet Development.
Before her Pathfind days, Melindie spent most of her career as a freelancer and working for various local and international companies. She has extensive experience in areas such as UI, front-end web design, graphic design, and e-learning.
She loves the process of visual communication and problem-solving through the use of typography, photography, and illustration.
Outside the office, Melindie enjoys camping, taking walks in forests, reading, sewing, gardening and spending time with her family.
Grant is a born and bred Capetonian with a primary passion for seeing “mere ideas” transform into digital beauty.
Before joining the Pathfind team, Grant had gained an impressive track record, working for various media agencies, and even founding one himself. During his professional adventure, Grant acquired a variety of skills, including WordPress website design, video editing, 2D animation and graphic design.
Out of office hours, he loves gaming, movies, baking, ‘’braaing’’ and spending time with his family.
Jo is passionate about creative communication through intelligent design. After completing his BComm degree, he worked at different organisations in a marketing capacity, which included managing website projects. While working with developers, designers and copywriters, he realized the powerful combination of these three services – and this led to the founding of Pathfind Media, a boutique brand and web marketing agency.
Upon obtaining further qualifications, Jo considers himself a frontend website designer with expert project management ability and good business sense. He loves team collaboration and thrives on continuous learning.
When he is not working, he loves spending time in the great outdoors, handiwork and experiencing new places locally and abroad (he has seen 32 different countries). His ultimate priority is to be the best husband to his wife, father to his three girls and to live for a Higher purpose.
